Certainly one could pay to have Facebook ads; I'm not talking about that here. I'm a great advocate of creating "organic" marketing; that which doesn't cost you anything (along with paid advertising of course).
With Facebook, you are building "fans" who already love you and what you do and they "accept" what you are posting. From time to time I will share ways to improve your posts to be better at marketing your product or service but of course doing so in a subtle way.
Today I present one way to get more from your Facebook posts.
Facebook for me is a great place to find things to help
people. Being a marketing consultant and a life and legacy consultant (helping
both individuals in and outside of owning a business), when I see something
that can help people, I use it as an example.
The latest thing I saw was a post by a friend who owns a pro
shop at a golf course. This was his recent post:
This is a great start but let’s take it further. Certainly
one could stop here as he did, but you can certainly get more mileage from it
with just a few small things.
First, people like quotes. So why not use one quote per post
along with some type of notice, special or other offering about your business.
In this case, my friend would use just one quote along with a picture of the
course or a special offer. The next post would be another quote and another
offer and continuing this for the entire season. People would come to “expect”
this as a Facebook post every week at the same time and you then are building
an “audience”!
NOTE: Usually readers of Facebook are “lazy” and will not “See More” so they will not click that to read more quotes. But who cares? When
reading more quotes they may get some entertainment value but when you give
them a quote and an offer, they get more and you get more from your time and
effort on Facebook!
